Habitat and Care

An Emerald Tree Boa needs a tall, secure enclosure with sturdy horizontal perches at different heights. Maintain appropriate temperatures, humidity, ventilation, and access to fresh water. Avoid excessive heat and stagnant, overly damp conditions.

Feed appropriately sized prey based on the snake’s age and body condition. These boas can be sensitive to husbandry errors and may react defensively to handling, so they are generally best suited to keepers with relevant snake experience. Allow the animal to settle after feeding and minimize unnecessary handling.
