Adult Frilled Dragon is a lizard native to northern Australia and southern New Guinea. This grey/brown lizard is normally very slender with a long tail and extremely large frills stretching from the head to the shoulders. This frill acts as additional camouflage when relaxed but it can also be spread in an impressive threat display. When threatened or surprised, the dragon can rear up on its hind legs and run quite quickly.
They are most frequently found in the humid climates such as the tropical savannah woodland. As an arboreal lizard they prefer a place with plenty of tall trees and interlocking branches for easy movement. Generally, the dragon will only come down from the trees to hunt for food.
While there are a lot of things the dragon could eat they normally only eat insects or other small lizards.
