Care Requirements
Yellow-footed tortoises need a spacious enclosure with secure shelter, shaded areas, suitable substrate, and carefully maintained temperature and humidity. Provide fresh drinking water and a shallow soaking area that allows the tortoise to enter and exit safely.
Offer a balanced diet suited to the species and age. Avoid relying too heavily on fruit, and seek reputable species-specific guidance on nutrition and supplementation.
The term “High Yellow” describes coloration rather than a separate species. Individual markings can vary. Confirm the tortoise’s identification, age, origin, and documentation before purchasing.
