South African White-Throat Monitor Highlights

- Scientific Name: Varanus albigularis albigularis
- Adult Size: Often around 5–6 feet in total length, though size varies.
- Natural Habitat: Savannas, scrublands, and semi-arid areas of Africa

These monitors need a large, secure enclosure with suitable heating, a temperature gradient, basking areas, and places to hide and dig. Their diet should include appropriately sized prey and meet their nutritional needs at each life stage.
