The Yellow Tree Monitor is an eye-catching monitor lizard known for its yellow coloring and active, climbing lifestyle. The name may refer to a yellow form of the tree monitor (Varanus prasinus), so confirm the scientific name and exact identity with the seller.
Tree monitors spend much of their time climbing. They need a tall, secure enclosure with sturdy branches, hiding places, and elevated resting areas. Provide suitable UVB lighting, appropriate temperatures, and humidity levels that match the confirmed species.
These monitors are carnivorous. Their diet should include suitable insects and other appropriate prey based on their age and nutritional needs. Fresh water and regular enclosure maintenance are also essential.
Tree monitors need specialized care and are best suited to keepers who understand arboreal reptiles. Check Verdant Reptiles for current availability, pricing, and individual animal details. Confirm the species identification and prepare its habitat before purchasing.
