The Peach Throat Monitor (Varanus jobiensis) is an active monitor lizard known for its warm peach or orange throat tones and long, slender body. Its coloration and markings can vary between individuals.
This species is an active climber and needs a large, secure enclosure with sturdy branches, hiding places, and room to explore. Provide suitable UVB lighting, a proper temperature gradient, and appropriate basking areas.
Peach Throat Monitors are carnivorous. Their diet should include suitable whole prey and other appropriate foods based on the animal’s age and nutritional needs. Fresh water and regular enclosure maintenance are also essential.
These monitors require experienced care and a long-term commitment. Before purchasing, research their adult size and housing needs. Check Verdant Reptiles for current availability, pricing, and individual animal details.
